When Cornerstone, LTD was ready to migrate a complex, multi-company environment from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Business Central Cloud, there was only one call to make. Northbank had been part of the financial operations for over a decade, and it showed. The migration went live on time, on budget, and with no significant disruptions.
Northbank will get you what you want and where you want to be without drama. Aaron and his team do a great job of anticipating where you want to be at the end of the process, and then just completely avoiding problems so everything goes smoothly. Not a lot of ERP partners can do that.

CFO Consulting and Outsourced Accounting Services
Cornerstone Ltd. provides CFO consulting and outsourced accounting services and also serves as the financial management hub for a portfolio of related business ventures spanning construction, surveillance systems integrations, and distribution. The team manages complex financial environments across multiple entities, including project-based revenue recognition, multi-company consolidations, and integrated technology systems.
Having worked alongside Northbank for over 14 years, including originally implementing Microsoft Dynamics NAV and then migrating their Surveillance Systems Incorporated (SSI) business to Dynamics Business Central Cloud, Cornerstone knows firsthand what good looks like when it comes to ERP implementations. And when their own clients need an accounting technology partner, they know exactly who to tell them to call.
Managing financials across multiple related entities in an on-premises NAV environment had worked well enough, but the limits were becoming clear. The accounting team needed better reporting, a path to the cloud, and a cleaner way to handle work-in-process accounting for revenue recognition. The existing system required too many manual touches to get WIP and revenue recognition right. The team also relied on a cumbersome process to reconcile corporate credit card statements, which added time and friction every month. Moving to Business Central Cloud was the right next step. The question was how to get there without disruption.
There was no real evaluation process. Aaron and the Northbank team had been embedded in the financial operations for over 14 years, working with Tim since his days as a CFO across the broader business portfolio in building everything from the original NAV environment to ongoing optimizations along the way. They had been through audits. They knew the entities, the processes, and the team.
"We briefly looked at other software options, but not for very long. Aaron has been very consistent and supportive over all this time and it's always drama-free and just works.”
That depth of institutional knowledge removed any real competition. Bringing someone new in would have meant starting from scratch. With Northbank, the migration could move forward with a team that already had full context.
Northbank mapped out a structured migration plan from NAV to Business Central Cloud that included bringing over legacy historical data, which the compatibility between the two systems made possible. The team used a dedicated test environment before go-live, working through accounting management first, then gradually extending access to sales management and order entry, verifying that every workflow functioned correctly before the cutover.
The Northbank team maintained an onsite presence throughout the critical go-live window, working directly with the accounting team and staying available as users came up to speed. The rollout was phased and deliberate.
Northbank also recommended and helped implement Ramp, a third-party tool that integrates natively with Business Central to automate credit card statement reconciliation to eliminate what had been a recurring manual burden for the accounting team.
The migration went live on time and on budget, with no hiccups reported by the accounting team. Because the Cornerstone team had prior Business Central experience through a related entity, ramp-up time was minimal and go-live was smooth.
Northbank is not only knowledgeable in Business Central, but they can also advise customers how to easily bring in other programs that hook into it. Aaron himself has strong accounting experience, so he knows what needs to be done and how to get you there.
