A new name and website that better reflect who we are, what we do, and where we’re headed.
After more than two decades of helping Northern California businesses modernize their finance and operations with Microsoft ERP, we’ve made a change that’s been a long time coming. QBIX is now Northbank Technology Group, and if you’ve landed on this article, you’ve arrived at our digital home of www.northbanktech.com.
The rebrand isn’t a pivot, it’s a better way to represent what we’ve built since 2003. Our focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, senior-level ERP expertise, and hands-on regional service hasn’t changed. The Northbank name just gives us a clearer way to say who we are today.

Why the change, and why now
Business technology is moving fast. Cloud ERP, automation, AI-assisted workflows, and connected systems are opening real opportunities for small and mid-sized Northern California companies to work smarter with better visibility, less manual effort, and more accurate data. But for most businesses, the challenge isn’t whether the tools exist. It’s finding a trusted regional partner who can translate those tools into practical improvements that fit the way you run your business.
That’s been our job since day one, and the Northbank brand reflects it more directly. As Aaron Thomas, Principal and Owner, puts it:
“The Northbank name gives us a stronger way to represent who we are today as a Northern California technology partner with decades of Microsoft ERP experience, a local commitment to our clients, and a clear focus on helping businesses modernize without losing the personal service and accountability they depend on.”
What we’re focused on
Much of our current work centers on helping businesses move off legacy platforms like Microsoft Dynamics GP and Dynamics NAV and onto Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. For companies still running Great Plains, the window to plan that transition thoughtfully is getting shorter. We help clients evaluate what should move, what should change, and how to get to Business Central without costly surprises.
We also work with businesses on system integration, automation, and ongoing support and optimization to help them get more value from the tools they already have. Our approach to implementation includes fixed-fee project options following proper discovery and scoping, because predictable costs matter, especially for growing companies in Northern California that are managing tight budgets, state compliance, and real operational complexity.
If you’re earlier in the process and still evaluating your options, our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Buyer’s Guide is a good place to start.
The same team, same approach
Unlike large national firms, we work with our clients directly. You’re not handed off to rotating project teams or triaged support queues. The people who implement your system are the same people who understand your financial processes, your operational details, and your business over time.
That model doesn’t change with the new name. If anything, Northbank makes it easier for businesses across Sacramento, the Central Valley, the Bay Area, and the broader Northern California region to find us and understand what we offer.
“Our clients do not need technology for the sake of technology. They need systems that reduce friction, support better decisions, and make the business easier to manage. Our goal is the same as it’s always been: build something that works, lasts, and makes sense for the people using it every day.”
We’re glad you’re here.
